Description

  • Glycyrrhizinic acid (licorice) and cichoric acid are among the components of standardised herbal extracts (echinacea).
  • In traditional western herbal medicine (WHM), sage is used to treat mild throat discomfort.
  • Licorice is used in traditional WHM for its demulcent effects, which help reduce coughs and bronchial phlegm by generating a protective film over the mucous membranes in the mouth, and as an expectorant, which helps relieve coughs and bronchial phlegm by forming a protective film (cattarh).

Adults: Spray 5 times towards the back of the throat. Repeat every 2 hours as required. Use a maximum of 8 times (40 sprays) in 24 hours, or as professionally prescribed.
